Spreading of end-of-life awareness and the culture of Palliative Care
Presenza Amica promotes a process of cultural change that leads the community to recognize that death is an integral part of life.
The acquisition of this awareness allows those who reach it to accept the concept of finiteness and therefore live the days more fully, planning the future.
Knowing what palliative care is, knowing that the early access to it is a human right, allows you to live the disease with greater awareness and plan the therapeutic path in a shared way.

The spread of awareness of the finitude of life is a challenge we face every day! Because it is the ability to give value to small things, valuing the moments of everyday living, to make our life a unique and unrepeatable one. We spread awareness together with the Institutions and the numerous organizations on the territory; we reach the citizens in places of meeting and escape, launching ideal bridges even when the terrain seems fragile.
Over time, we have collected considerable results that spur us to move forward with new initiatives, determined to meet those – like us – who are ready to open a Conversation Parenthesis.

Grazie al volontariato in Presenza Amica ho aperto una Parentesi di Conversazione che mi ha reso più consapevole rispetto alle scelte che posso fare oggi per il domani.
Restituire dignità equivale a garantire normalità. Anche l’immagine che la persona ha di sé è importante: a volte basta incorniciare il viso con una frangetta, aggiustare il colore dei capelli o fare la barba per vedere brillare nuovamente gli occhi delle persone assistite.
Il volontariato in hospice mi arricchisce ogni giorno grazie alla condivisione dei valori della vita con le persone con cui entro in relazione.
